According to PANews, the Shanghai Composite Index surged in the afternoon, climbing back above the 3,900-point mark, while the Shenzhen Component Index increased by over 1%. By the end of the trading day, the Shanghai Composite Index had risen by 0.63%, the Shenzhen Component Index by 1.13%, and the ChiNext Index by 0.71%.
The combined trading volume of the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets remained below 2 trillion yuan for the second consecutive day, reaching only 1.85 trillion yuan, a decrease of 90.3 billion yuan compared to the previous trading day. Market activity was characterized by rapid shifts in hotspots, with over 4,200 stocks across the market experiencing gains.
