The head of the United Arab Emirates' largest energy company has condemned Iran's actions in the Strait of Hormuz, describing them as 'global economic blackmail.' According to Odaily, Sultan Al Jaber, CEO of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), expressed in a LinkedIn post that the effective closure of this crucial waterway poses an 'intolerable threat' to the world.
Al Jaber, who also serves as a UAE government minister, emphasized the need for global cooperation to ensure the free flow of energy and maintain economic stability. He has been one of the most vocal business leaders in the UAE, criticizing Iran and calling for the reopening of the strait. Last month, he accused Iran of 'weaponizing energy flows,' labeling the actions as 'economic terrorism.'
