Elon Musk has announced that users can now access the X API through OpenClaw, aiming to reduce usage costs while ensuring sustainable operations. According to Foresight News, the X API team has released a new version of the CLI tool, integrating SKILL.md support, allowing both OpenClaw and Hermes to access the X API.
Since April 20, the X platform has adjusted its API pricing. The cost for Owned Reads has been significantly reduced to $0.001 per request, covering 12 common endpoints such as retrieving tweets, bookmarks, followers, likes, and lists. Meanwhile, the fee for regular posts has increased from $0.01 to $0.015, and posts containing URLs are priced at $0.20. Additionally, features like following, liking, and quote retweeting will be removed from all self-service tiers.
