U.S. and Israeli Leaders See Opportunity in Iran's Current Position

Brian Clark, Director of Defense Concepts at the Hudson Institute in Washington, stated that U.S. President Donald Trump has long expressed disdain for Iran's leadership. According to Odaily, Trump appears to be seeking a legacy move that would permanently alter Iran, potentially making it a more neutral or even friendly nation towards the U.S. This is not a new objective for him. Both American and Israeli leaders believe that now might be the time to decisively subdue the Iranian regime, as it is currently in a passive position. However, this perspective may indicate a lack of historical understanding and depth among U.S. and Israeli leadership, as Iran has never been a country where its existing leadership structure can be easily overthrown.
