Galoy Expands Bitcoin Banking Platform for U.S. Financial Institutions

Galoy has broadened its Bitcoin-native banking platform to cater to U.S. banks and credit unions, integrating six essential use cases into a single system. According to NS3.AI, the platform encompasses BTC-backed lending, Lightning payments, stablecoin transactions, Bitcoin exchange under the OCC's riskless principal model, custody solutions, and embedded wallets. Galoy stated that the software functions as a sidecar to existing legacy core systems, offering additional tools for regulatory guidance, portfolio analysis, and loan-to-value risk scenarios.
