A U.S. federal court has sentenced Marlon Ferro to 78 months in prison for his involvement in a social engineering scheme that resulted in the theft of over $250 million in cryptocurrency assets. According to NS3.AI, the Department of Justice announced that Ferro will also serve three years of supervised release and must pay $2.5 million in restitution after pleading guilty to racketeering conspiracy.
