FLock.io has facilitated a new research collaboration between Malaysia's Sarawak Artificial Intelligence Center (SAIC) and Cambridge University. According to Foresight News, the partnership will extend beyond technical infrastructure to include economic research, policy design, and talent development.
FLock.io has connected SAIC with Cambridge professors and researchers, aiming to transform AI-related economic, policy, and governance research into actionable technical pathways. The collaboration will explore AI's impact on macroeconomic resilience, productivity, labor markets, public policy evaluation, green economic transition, and talent cultivation. Future plans include educational cooperation, scholarship programs, and institutional exchanges.
In this collaboration, FLock.io expands its role from a provider of privacy AI technology to an executor of sovereign AI international cooperation, linking government needs with academic research and deployment scenarios. The company will offer research resources, technical capabilities, and implementation support to advance the research into practical applications. Previously, FLock.io participated in green sovereign AI infrastructure collaboration in Manchester. The current partnership with Cambridge covers AI economics, policy, and talent development topics. Later this week, FLock.io will also engage in discussions at Oxford University on sovereign AI governance, security, verification, and trusted deployment.
