Ethereum Swap Exploited: Vitalik Buterin's Transaction Front- and Back-Run

Vitalik Buterin's recent Ethereum swap was exploited by a bot operated by JaredFromSubway.eth, resulting in the extraction of approximately 0.002 ETH. According to NS3.AI, Buterin was selling 26,544 DigitalBits tokens and set the amountOutMin to zero, allowing any non-zero output to be accepted. The bot strategically placed trades on both sides of the swap, ultimately leaving Buterin with 0.00197 ETH, valued at slightly less than $5 at the time.
