Swiss Exchange SIX Explores European Cryptocurrency Platform

According to Odaily, the Swiss stock exchange SIX is exploring the establishment of a cryptocurrency trading platform in Europe. The initiative aims to leverage Switzerland's advanced crypto regulations and the exchange's reputation to attract large traditional investors interested in digital assets. Bjørn Sibbern, Global Head of Exchanges at SIX Group, stated that cryptocurrencies are increasingly recognized as a legitimate asset class. He added that the company is investigating the creation of a platform to facilitate trading in both spot cryptocurrencies and derivatives.
