Safe VP Highlights EIP-7702 Progress At Abstract Summit

According to Odaily, Safe's Vice President of Growth, Andre Geest, discussed the advancements in account abstraction at the Abstract Summit today. Geest highlighted EIP-7702 as one of the most exciting developments. This proposal introduces a new transaction type that allows externally owned accounts (EOAs) to temporarily function as smart contract wallets in a single transaction. Geest emphasized that changing user behavior is challenging, making upgrading existing systems the most convenient option. This approach enables users to continue using their current wallet addresses without the need for complex migration processes.
