According to Foresight News, during the Solana Breakpoint conference, Solana co-founder Toly highlighted the significant potential in the mobile market due to the high profit margins of Apple and Android app stores. He emphasized that the most daunting aspect of working in the crypto space is the threat of smart contract hacks, which can impact the Layer 1 infrastructure itself. This concern underscores the importance of the Solana validator client, Firedancer, which is nearing completion. Toly mentioned that once Firedancer reaches over 33% network operation on the mainnet, or when two clients are operational, he will consider it out of beta and remove the beta label.
When asked about his expectations from the Solana ecosystem, Toly encouraged developers to build innovative projects without the fear of failure, emphasizing that the process is a learning experience.
