OpenAI's Social Media Account Hacked, Unauthorized Posts Promoted Crypto Scam

According to Odaily, OpenAI announced on September 23 that its news account on the social media platform X was hacked. Unauthorized posts were made, misleading users to click on a fraudulent cryptocurrency website falsely associated with the company. OpenAI has acknowledged the issue and initiated an investigation. These posts appeared on the @OpenAINewsroom account around 7 PM local time and remained visible to some users for about an hour before being deleted.
