This meeting marks Nadella as the latest tech leader to engage with the incoming administration. Microsoft stated that the discussions covered various topics, including the company's commitment to invest $80 billion globally in AI data centers, with over $50 billion allocated for the United States, aiming to create jobs in the country. Microsoft President Brad Smith and Vice President-elect Mike Pence also attended the meeting. Smith advised the upcoming Trump administration against imposing strict regulations on artificial intelligence.
