India's Web3 Startup Funding Surges in 2024

According to Odaily, India's Web3 startups secured a total of $564 million in funding in 2024, marking a significant increase from the $270 million raised in 2023. The infrastructure sector received the largest share of investments, focusing primarily on artificial intelligence, middleware, and data tools projects. Additionally, investments in the financial sector rose by over 50%, reaching $86 million. India's developer community is experiencing the fastest growth globally, with the number of open-source developers increasing by 28% year-on-year to 4.5 million. It is anticipated that by 2028, India could surpass the United States to become the world's largest developer community.
