Hong Kong to Hold Briefing on Stablecoin Issuer Regulations

According to Foresight News, multiple institutions have confirmed that the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) will conduct a technical briefing on the regulatory framework for stablecoin issuers today at 16:30 (UTC+8). The briefing will be led by senior members of the HKMA, including Deputy Chief Executive Howard Lee, Assistant Chief Executive Nelson Chow, Assistant Chief Executive Arthur Yuen, and Head of Digital Finance Nelson Ho. Previously, the HKMA announced plans to release guidelines this month detailing the implementation of stablecoin regulations. These guidelines will clarify key regulatory aspects such as anti-money laundering measures and customer identification protocols.
