Sheetz to Accept Bitcoin Payments with Daily Discounts

According to BlockBeats, U.S. convenience store chain Sheetz has announced plans to accept Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as payment methods. Customers using cryptocurrencies will receive a 50% discount on their purchases daily. Sheetz, valued at $6.2 billion, operates 700 stores across the United States. Previously, the fast-food chain Steak 'n Shake began accepting Bitcoin payments at its nationwide locations on May 16. The company's Chief Operating Officer reported a 10.7% increase in same-store sales in the second quarter following the adoption of Bitcoin payments, describing the cryptocurrency as a 'game-changer.'
