JPYC Registers as Funds Transfer Operator for Yen Stablecoin Deployment

According to BlockBeats, JPYC, a yen stablecoin issuer, has successfully registered as a funds transfer operator. The company plans to deploy its yen stablecoin on Ethereum, Avalanche, and Polygon networks. This stablecoin is backed by highly liquid assets such as bank deposits and government bonds, with a goal to issue 1 trillion yen within three years. In November 2021, JPYC secured 500 million yen (approximately 4.43 million USD) in a Series A funding round led by Headline Asia, with participation from Circle Ventures.
