Ripple Partners with BBVA to Enhance Digital Asset Custody Services

According to PANews, Ripple has announced a partnership with Spanish bank BBVA to provide digital asset custody technology for retail customers. This collaboration marks a significant upgrade for BBVA, following its introduction of Bitcoin and Ethereum trading and custody services, and aims to align with the European Union's MiCA regulatory framework. Ripple's custody technology, acquired through its purchase of Swiss crypto custody firm Metaco, is already in use for BBVA's operations in Switzerland and Turkey. Ripple currently holds over 60 regulatory licenses worldwide.
