X Platform Introduces Username Marketplace for Premium Users

According to PANews, Elon Musk's X platform is set to launch the 'X Handle Marketplace' for Premium Plus and Premium Business users, allowing them to browse and apply for inactive usernames. The usernames are categorized into two types: Priority, which is free and includes names, phrases, or alphanumeric combinations, and Rare, which requires payment, with prices ranging from $2,500 to over seven figures, depending on demand and uniqueness. Once a username is successfully changed, the old one will be frozen. If a user downgrades their subscription, the account will automatically revert to the original username. The platform has indicated that a paid redirection feature may be offered in the future.
