Bitcoin Faces Worst November Since 2019, Analysts Predict Positive Start to 2026

According to Cointelegraph, Bitcoin is poised to close November with its most significant loss since at least 2019, yet analysts suggest this downturn may set the stage for a promising start to 2026. LVRG research director Nick Ruck noted that while November will end negatively for the cryptocurrency, it presents an opportunity for astute investors to re-enter the market. He emphasized that the removal of overleveraged participants and unsustainable projects paves the way for new long-term holders to establish positions ahead of a potentially favorable new year. Bitcoin (BTC) has declined nearly 16.9% this month, trading around $91,500, approaching losses from November 2019 when it fell by almost 17.3%, as reported by CoinGlass. The cryptocurrency's worst November occurred in 2018, with a 36.5% drop during the bear market following the 2017 peak. It last ended November in the red in 2022, with a 16.2% decrease. Crypto educator Sumit Kapoor remarked that November is typically one of Bitcoin's strongest months, but with the Thanksgiving weekend approaching, it is on track to be the worst November since 2018. He noted that historically, a red November often leads to a red December. Justin d’Anethan, head of research at Arctic Digital, shared with Cointelegraph that crypto-native investors are accustomed to a somewhat predictable four-year cycle, which has previously led to rallies towards year-end, with October, November, and often December finishing positively. He attributed the early cycle trigger to the launch of spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds in the US in early 2024. D’Anethan views this development positively, suggesting it indicates a shift as institutions enter the market significantly, altering the pace and timing of crypto price movements. Technical analysts are closely monitoring Bitcoin's monthly candle, predicting it may close above $93,000, with potential downside if momentum is not maintained over the weekend. Analyst "CrediBull Crypto" highlighted key levels to watch at the monthly close, specifically $93,401 and $102,437. They suggested a close above $93,000 would be a positive indicator, while a close above $102,000 would be extremely bullish, though it might require waiting until next month. At the time of writing, Bitcoin was trading at $91,600, remaining flat over the last 24 hours and struggling to break resistance just below $92,000.
