Tinder’s New AI Voice-Based Game Coaches You to Flirt Like a Pro

Tinder has unveiled The Game Game, an AI-powered interactive feature that lets users practice flirting through voice-based role-play scenarios.

Currently available to iOS users in the US for a limited time, the feature is part of Tinder’s broader push to integrate artificial intelligence into its platform.

Built using OpenAI’s GPT-4o and GPT-4o mini models, The Game Game places users in fictional settings—like a grocery store or airport baggage claim—where they engage in simulated conversations with AI characters.

Each session lasts about three minutes, with users receiving a score based on how warm, engaging, and interested they sound.

The goal? To earn a virtual “date.”

Users are limited to five sessions per day, and receive real-time feedback from the AI to help improve their communication style.

While the feature is currently US-only, Tinder has not announced if or when it will expand globally, instead opting to assess user feedback before making broader rollout decisions.

Tinder Doubles Down on AI Innovation

The Game Game is the latest in a series of AI-driven features Tinder has introduced in recent months.

In July 2024, the company launched an AI-powered photo selection tool that suggests the best profile pictures based on factors like attractiveness and composition.

Initially available in the US, this feature is expected to roll out globally.

Additionally, Tinder has incorporated AI into safety features such as “Are You Sure?” and “Does This Bother You?”, which prompt users to reconsider sending potentially inappropriate messages, helping to foster a more respectful and secure dating environment.
