Skytopia, a Web3-based platform integrating gaming, entertainment, and social networking, announced just last month that it secured $2.4 million in seed funding.

The funding round was led by Vertex Capital and SuperChain Capital, with additional investments from Boyaa Interactive and InitiateCapital.

Mining Carnival & $FPU Airdrop Event is Live

Following the announcement of a $2.4 million seed funding round, Skytopia to unveiled the Mining Carnival & FPU Airdrop Event to commemorate the launch of the Skytopia Task System.

During this event, qualifying community members have the chance to receive FPU tokens at no cost as a gesture of appreciation for their support.

Skytopia is a world in the clouds, composed of Skylands—virtual spaces that belong to users, which can be personalised and transformed into their own metaverse home.

Users can connect their islands with those of their friends to build communities together and can also take part in various virtual recreational activities hosted on the central island, such as virtual concerts and virtual art exhibitions.

The Skyland NFT serves as the core user credential for Skytopia and is the land credential upon which users can engage in activities like building houses, raising virtual pets, meeting friends, and hosting virtual events.

According to Skytopia's whitepaper, the total supply of Skyland NFTs is capped at 90,000, with multiple sales rounds featuring different series.

The inaugural sale will offer the Magic Forest NFT, with a total supply of 6,000.

The Skyland NFT mint date was initially set for 9 May 2024, but the company announced a decision to postpone it without specifying a new date.

The Skytopia metaverse is inhabited by adorable cartoon Residents—penguins, cats, crocodiles, bunnies, and more.

According to the lore, they survived the Great Disaster, when the Tree of Creation was consumed by flames, scattering seeds that gave rise to Skytopia.

Each Skytopia Resident has a unique backstory: one dreams of saving the world with a lightsaber, another fled a magic castle to become a singer, yet another grew up on the streets painting graffiti, and so on.

There will be 10,000 Skytopia Residents in total, with the project already having completed two successful minting rounds, and the third round is anticipated soon.
