Blum, the Binance 2.0

Two of Binance's executives, Bleb Kostarecv and Vladimir Smerkis , have left one of the biggest crypto-exchange companies in the world to start a competing project, Blum. They have just one simple vision: to create a trading exchange platform that is as versatile as the Binance platform, but yet simpler and more fun to interact with! And Voila, Blum was born.

Doing what Binance couldn't?

Blum is doing something that Binance cannot, which is to bring easy trading experience to all telegram users. Everything is simplified and made convenient for you. Say goodbye to the old method of visiting a trading websites or having to download a new trading application on your phone before you can start to jumbo. Start immediately with the Blum platform, which is available on your telegram app. Utilising the use of a mini app, Blum grants you access to more than 30 chains, tokens from both centralized and decentralized exchanges, and simplified derivatives trading.

But trading can be a bit boring, doesn't it? But who says that it has to? Play games, complete tasks, or invite your friends to the platform to get the chance to earn Blum points, which I would guess you can use to trade for boosts and other cool stuff in the future. Yup, you heard me right.At this point of time, the company hasn't yet revealed any information on the use of the point system and what uses they have, but they have promised to reveal all this information in the future.

I know, I know, this project is still in the making, and I won't blame you if you feel that this is iffy. But I can assure you that this project is definitely not a scam. What they are offering right now is just the base skeleton of what the application would ultimately look like. Moving forward, the company will continue to launch new features in phases and they are asking for your trust and patience in this very long process.

Shocker right, the blum platform has once "fallen victim" to hackers. On the 4th of July, Blum posted a tweet, seeming insinuating that their platform had been hacked. Of course, this news got many riled up and worried about their investments.

But on the 5th of July, Blum posted another tweet with the link to a new blog post: "Pokras Lampas Hacked Blum? The Real Story." In its blog posts, the owners of the platform explained that the previous announcement of the hack was just a prank and this was just a publicity stunt for the company to gather more traction on social media.

But do you think of this publicity stunt? Is this really just a harmless prank, or is this coverup of the fact that they really have been scammed? I would be more inclined to think that it was the former, although I do not agree with this method of pranking your customers. But you got to give them credit for their guts and cheekiness to pull off this stunt.

Led by a team of Ex-Binance executives

The interesting thing about Blum is that this project was created by a group of Ex-Binance executives. The Co-founder of the project is Gleb Kostarev, who was previously the head of Eastern Europe and Russia at Binance. Under his leadership in Binance, he helped the company to generate trading growth and revenue in the regions where he was overlooking.

The other co-founder of the Blum project is Vladimir Smerkis, who was previously the general manager for Russia and CIS at Binance. While it wasn't reported the reason behind their departure from Binance, but through their seniority and position in Binance, we could say that these two co-founders really have a knack in this industry and would be the perfect leaders to lead a start up like Blum.
