Delabs Games Jumping on the Telegram Hype with Ragnarok
South Korean developer Delabs Games plans to bring the beloved Ragnarok role-playing franchise to Telegram in Q1 2025, marking a strategic pivot toward the platform's growing crypto gaming ecosystem.
This new Ragnarok title will feature maze exploration and introduce social features tailored for Telegram's user base, according to Delabs' announcement.
The shift is supported by fresh funding from TON Ventures and a private investor, underscoring Delabs' commitment to expanding its presence within Telegram's ecosystem.
Notably, this version will differ from Ragnarok: Monster World, launched on the Ethereum-based Ronin network, which offers a strategic mobile experience similar to Clash Royale and was developed by Zero X and publisher Gravity.
Delabs Games Also to Bring Boxing Star to Telegram
Delabs Games is also set to bring its hit mobile game Boxing Star to Telegram in Q3 2025.
With over 70 million downloads on mobile platforms, Boxing Star has already garnered a substantial following, and its adaptation for Telegram underscores Delabs' commitment to expanding its successful franchises within the platform's evolving gaming ecosystem.
Delabs Games CEO Joonmo Kwon expressed in a release:
"Bringing Ragnarok to Telegram marks a bold step in our strategy to bring well-known IPs and mid-core games directly to players where they're already connecting. With Ragnarok, we're creating an experience that's not only true to its roots, but also enhanced by Web3 features—without any added complexity."
Not Delabs Game's First Venture Into Telegram
Before its recent pivot to Telegram, Delabs began exploring the platform's gaming potential with Giga Chad Bat, a baseball-themed game launched in July. h
The company’s parent, 4:33 Creative Lab, has a history of integrating popular titles like Blade and Hero into social platforms, notably on South Korea's Kakao.
Delabs also developed Rumble Racing Star, a PC racing game reminiscent of Mario Kart, and had been working on additional titles, Metabolts and Space Frontier, expanding its footprint in interactive gaming experiences across different platforms.
