Adobe's Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI) releases an open-source toolkit, including a JavaScript SDK, a command line utility, and a Rust SDK to display content credentials in browsers and create apps for content verification. CAI aims to address visual misinformation by providing metadata, termed "content credentials," for content origin and editing, offering transparency and authenticity in digital content. The initiative, known as C2PA, is a collaboration between Adobe, Microsoft, Sony, Intel, Twitter, the BBC, the Wall Street Journal, Nikon, and the Associated Press.
