Hong Kong is set to issue its first batch of stablecoin issuer licenses in March 2026. The government also plans to introduce a bill later this year to regulate digital asset dealers and custodians.

The U.S. president has submitted a nomination to the Senate to appoint Kevin Warsh as Chair of the Federal Reserve. Warsh has previously said that bitcoin’s price volatility significantly limits its usefulness as a unit of account or a means of payment, though it could serve as a
