Middle East Tensions Rise Following U.S. and Israeli Actions Against Iran

Tensions in the Middle East have escalated following military actions by the United States and Israel against Iran. According to Ming Pao, Chan Shui-kwan, Chairperson of the Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Export Credit Insurance Corporation (ECIC), stated that exports from Hong Kong to the Middle East account for only 2.5% of the total exports, indicating that the region is not a major export destination for Hong Kong. Currently, the ECIC has not received any reports from clients regarding export issues, but it will continue to closely monitor the situation.
