Additionally, Trump denied reports of the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier catching fire, alleging that Iran is collaborating with 'fake news' media to fabricate images of the carrier burning uncontrollably at sea. Trump called for media organizations spreading these falsehoods to be charged with treason and mentioned that Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Brendan Carr is reviewing the licenses of some of these outlets.
