India and China have achieved a record $155 billion in bilateral trade in 2025, signaling a strengthened economic relationship following years of friction. According to NS3.AI, China's imports from India increased by 43.1% year-on-year during January and February, significantly surpassing China's overall import growth of 19.8%. This growth also outpaced other major origins in Beijing's trade data. Both governments are advocating for more practical cooperation within the BRICS framework as India shifts its exports away from the less predictable U.S. market.
