Tokenized Gold Supply Doubles Amid Dollar Funding Stress

Tokenized gold supply has doubled over the past six months, according to BloFin Research. The firm suggests that the recent weakness in gold prices is more indicative of dollar funding stress rather than a decline in structural demand. Despite this growth, tokenized gold remains relatively small, with about 37 tonnes compared to the 4,025 tonnes held in global gold ETFs. Meanwhile, the World Gold Council is working on developing shared infrastructure for digital gold products.
