Yupp.ai has announced its closure, with the website remaining accessible for the next 15 days to allow users to download chat data. According to ChainCatcher, existing users will be unable to create new conversations, and new users cannot register.
Launched in June 2025, Yupp.ai was positioned as a bilateral marketplace for AI model evaluation, aiming to assess AI models through diverse real-world usage by numerous users. Pankaj Gupta explained that the decision to close was driven by significant changes in the AI model capabilities over the past year, with rapid advancements and evolving user interactions with AI. He noted that simple chatbots no longer meet user needs and emphasized that, based on past entrepreneurial experience, acknowledging issues early rather than pursuing uncertain paths is a more prudent decision. The company plans to return remaining funds to investors.
