On April 15, X Product Lead and Solana Ecosystem Advisor Nikita Bier announced a new feature on the X platform. According to BlockBeats, the Cashtags feature has been launched for iPhone users in the United States and Canada, bringing real-time financial data directly into X. The feature allows users to search or post Cashtags, or contract addresses, with X automatically recommending matching stocks or crypto tokens for easy asset selection. By clicking on any Cashtag, users can view related discussion threads and price charts without leaving the X platform. This functionality ensures users can accurately match discussions to corresponding stocks or tokens. Cashtags represent the first step in X's ambition to become the preferred platform for financial and crypto communities. The platform aims to offer valuable and actionable content, facilitating seamless trading. Additionally, X announced a pilot integration with Canadian brokerage Wealthsimple. Canadian users will see a button on the Cashtags page, enabling them to complete trades directly on the X platform.
