Surveillance Accountability Act Proposed to Regulate AI-Assisted Data Access

Reps. Thomas Massie and Lauren Boebert have introduced the Surveillance Accountability Act, aiming to regulate federal access to third-party digital data in AI-assisted surveillance. According to NS3.AI, the proposed legislation mandates warrants for accessing biometric data and automated license plate readers. Additionally, it provides Americans the right to sue the government for violations of the Fourth Amendment.
