DTCC Collaborates with Layer-1 Blockchains for Onchain Corporate Actions

DTCC, responsible for processing approximately $20 trillion in Treasury and corporate securities trades daily, is collaborating with layer-1 blockchains to transition corporate actions onchain. According to NS3.AI, Frank La Salla stated that the initiative aims to manage dividend payments, tender offers, and other post-trade events with enhanced speed and resilience compared to current blockchain capabilities. Additionally, DTCC announced plans to commence testing its tokenized securities platform in July, with a wider launch anticipated in October.
