Zcash Foundation Takes Over Key Community Assets

The Zcash Foundation (ZF) has announced its takeover of the management of three core community assets, including the Zcash GitHub organization, the z.cash website and domain, and the @Zcash account on the X platform. According to Foresight News, these assets were previously managed by ZODL. ZF will directly oversee access and governance of the Zcash GitHub organization, maintaining existing contributor permissions and keeping the codebase open-source. The daily operations of the z.cash website and the @Zcash account will be handled by community contributor ZecHub, under a multi-year cooperation agreement. The z.cash domain has been redirected to zechub.wiki. ZF stated that this move aims to streamline coordination mechanisms and clarify long-term responsibilities.
