S&P Dow Jones Indices and Kaiko announced on September 1, 2026, that they will integrate their digital asset index products into a co-branded series called S&P Kaiko Digital Asset Indices. According to ChainCatcher, Kaiko's digital asset reference rates and multi-asset indices, together with S&P DJI's existing crypto indices, will be renamed under the S&P Kaiko brand.
The series will be powered by Kaiko's crypto-native data infrastructure and market expertise, while S&P DJI will handle global licensing, distribution, and benchmark administration. At launch, the suite covers more than 4,000 rates and indices across digital asset categories.
Existing financial products benchmarked to Kaiko reference rates and multi-asset indices may use the new S&P Kaiko brand. Kaiko Indices, S.A. will keep its existing brand and BMR registration. S&P Dow Jones Indices Chief Product and Operations Officer Cameron Drinkwater said the integration is intended to raise digital asset benchmark standards through transparency, rigor, and market relevance. Kaiko CEO Ambre Soubiran said the move gives institutions credibility, distribution reach, and data precision.
