Metal, an AI-native operating system for the private capital markets, said it has completed a $4.5 million seed round led by a16z, Speedrun and Y Combinator. According to ChainCatcher, the round also included participation from Pioneer Fund, Rebel Fund, Gaingels, Indus Valley Capital, Team Ignite VC, Goodwater Capital and Phaze Ventures.
The company said the funding will accelerate development of software for founders to use during fundraising and throughout the capital formation process. Metal also released a paper on the direction of private capital markets.
