According to BlockBeats, on August 23, cybersecurity company Moonlock issued a warning about the AMOS stealer program targeting Mac users. The malware has the capability to clone Ledger Live software and may soon replicate other wallet applications.
A report from Moonlock Lab on August 5 revealed that the AMOS program is experiencing a resurgence. The company discovered that the malware is being advertised through Google Adsense, masquerading as popular MacOS programs. These include the screen-sharing application Loom, the user interface design tool Figma, the VPN service TunnelBlick, and the instant messaging application Callzy. The developers of these applications have not authorized the counterfeit versions of the AMOS malware.
