Trump Views DeepSeek's AI Innovation as Beneficial to National Security

According to PANews, U.S. President Donald Trump stated on February 7 that he does not perceive DeepSeek as a threat to national security. Speaking to reporters, Trump expressed confidence that the United States could ultimately benefit from the artificial intelligence (AI) innovations developed by the startup. When asked if DeepSeek posed a national security risk, Trump responded, "No." He elaborated, "This is a developing technology... In fact, I believe we will benefit from it." Trump further noted that the AI technology being discussed would be much more affordable than initially anticipated, describing this as a positive development rather than a negative one.
