U.S. Treasury Hosts Financial Stability Oversight Council Meeting

According to Odaily, the U.S. Treasury announced that Treasury Secretary Besent convened an executive meeting of the Financial Stability Oversight Council today. During the meeting, Treasury staff briefed the council on the activities of the President's Working Group on Financial Markets concerning digital assets. Updates were also provided by the Chair of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Acting Chair of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission on their respective agencies' recent actions. Speakers discussed ongoing efforts to enhance U.S. leadership in digital assets and financial technology, as well as to provide greater regulatory clarity and certainty for digital asset markets.
