Odyssey Malware Targets Users with Fake AI Tool Ads

According to PANews, SlowMist Technology's Chief Information Security Officer, 23pds, has reported on the X platform that a variant of the AMOS Trojan, known as Odyssey, is distributing deceptive AI tool advertisements through channels like Twitter. These ads aim to trick users into downloading malicious software disguised as AI tool clients. The malware employs AppleScript as its primary payload to steal sensitive data, including system information, browser data, and cryptocurrency wallet details.
