Israel's Energy Ministry said on Thursday that it had instructed international oil and gas exploration and production company Energean to begin resuming operations at the Karish gas platform on Israel's Mediterranean coast, following the ceasefire agreement reached between the US and Iran. The platform had been shut down since the start of the conflict on February 28 for safety reasons. Energean confirmed it had received notification from the Energy Ministry that it would be allowed to safely restart and resume production and operations at its Karish site. The company stated it is working diligently to safely restart production and restore normal operations in accordance with operating procedures. Energean's shares listed in London rose 2.4% today.
