Celsius founder Alex Mashinsky has reached a settlement with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC), agreeing to pay $10 million and be permanently banned from promoting products or services involving the deposit, exchange, investment, or withdrawal of assets. Under the court order, the enforcement of most of the FTC's previous $4.72 billion damages judgment has been suspended, but the judgment amount can be reinstated if Mashinsky's financial disclosures contain material omissions or false statements. Previously, Mashinsky was sentenced to 12 years in prison in 2025 for commodity fraud and securities fraud. (Cointelegraph)
