Odaily Planet Daily News Cryptocurrency lawyer James Murphy has cited the Freedom of Information Act to sue the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), demanding that the agency disclose whether it has ever met with "Bitcoin founder Satoshi Nakamoto" and disclose relevant notes and emails. The lawsuit is based on remarks made by DHS agent Rana Saoud at a meeting in 2019. She said that several DHS colleagues had met with four people involved in the creation of Bitcoin in California and asked about their motives and the ultimate goal of Bitcoin. Murphy said that if the meeting did take place, there should be records to check, and promised to "pursue the case to the end." The case was assisted by former U.S. Assistant Attorney Brian Field, with the goal of promoting government transparency. At present, the true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto has not been revealed, and the community is still controversial about whether his identity should be made public.
