Metaverse company Infinite Reality is in talks to go public through a merger with Newbury Street Acquisition Corp., Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter. Informed sources said that the current negotiations between the two parties have entered the final stage of the transaction, which may be announced as early as next week. Representatives of Infinite Reality and Newbury declined to comment on the matter. Foresight News previously reported that metaverse company Infinite Reality acquired e-sports company ReKT for $470 million in April. Infinite Reality is formed by the merger of social e-commerce platform Display Social, entertainment production company Thunder Studios, and metaverse construction platform Infinite Metaverse. Its business includes social networking, games, NFT casting, metaverse creation, etc.
