This NFT Experience is Coming to Chicago

Chicago's new Camp theme park will soon offer an immersive Doodles' pastel-themed NFT experience, aiming to integrate Doodles into mainstream media and consciousness. Visitors can customize their own Doodles character, explore themed locations, play games, and purchase Doodles-themed merchandise. The partnership with Camp is part of Doodles' $54 million venture to expand its presence in mainstream media.

Doodles' latest project is a 3,500-square-foot pop-up experience at the new Camp theme park in Chicago. Families can enjoy a one-hour Doodles experience, engaging in character customization, location exploration, games, and crafts. The on-site Camp Store offers Doodles-inspired clothing and accessories, including hoodies and backpacks.

Doodles is backed by a $54 million investment from Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian's Seven Seven Six venture capital fund. The company appointed Pharrell Williams as Chief Brand Officer and is in discussions with scriptwriters and studios for a potential television show. CEO Julian Holguin, a former Billboard executive, is at the helm of the project.

Mainstream media producers are increasingly interested in NFT collections for their exclusive ownership base. Actor Seth Green's Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT was slated to be the main character in a TV show before it was stolen, prompting Green to pay the scammer for its release. Universal Music Group also leveraged NFTs to create a Bored Ape-themed rock band called Kingship, while Meebits released music on Spotify.

The potential use of artificial intelligence to create mainstream media content for the Doodles project remains uncertain. However, the Recording Academy's recent inclusion of award categories for music with AI elements hints at the growing relevance of AI-generated content.
