The NFT collection belonging to former President Donald Trump has witnessed a surge of 1200% in sales, directly following his interview with Tucker Carlson.
Data from OpenSea, a prominent NFT marketplace, showed that more than 40 NFTs from Trump's collection were sold within the last 24 hours.
The floor price of these NFTs also experienced a notable 30% increase, ultimately reaching a value of 0.137 Ethereum (ETH).
This surge in activity coincided with the GOP presidential debate airing on Fox News.
During the pre-recorded interview above just before the initiation of Wednesday night's GOP debate, Trump shared his reasons for not participating in the debate.
He referenced the substantial lead he held in recent polls, with margins spanning from 50 to 60 points.
Trump expressed his hesitation, questioning whether he should endure the prospect of being harassed by fellow candidates who, according to him, should not even be in the presidential race.
He also noted his concerns about the network's lack of friendliness towards him.
