ZKsync Lite Network to Shut Down on May 4

ZKsync has announced the official shutdown of its ZKsync Lite network on May 4, marking the end of block production and freezing its final state. According to NS3.AI, ZKsync Lite, which was Ethereum's first zero-knowledge proof rollup launched in June 2020, is being phased out following the introduction of the zkEVM ZKsync Era. The network does not support smart contracts, prompting the transition. Users are advised to withdraw assets amounting to nearly $34 million before the deprecation date. However, claims will still be possible through a read-only API that will be maintained for one year.
