Gulf states, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, are reportedly considering more proactive defense measures against Iran, according to the Wall Street Journal. According to Jin10, regional officials have indicated that these countries are unlikely to tolerate Iranian aggression for an extended period. One potential strategy under consideration is targeting missile and drone launch sites within Iran. UAE diplomatic advisor Anwar Gargash emphasized the need for a more active defense posture, stating, "We should not adopt a passive defense strategy but rather engage in more proactive defense. We must examine the types of conflicts that are likely to emerge. At the same time, we possess certain capabilities, and our approach is that responses should match the severity of the conflict."
