Millions of people across Iran gathered to show support for the newly appointed Supreme Leader Mujtaba. According to RTHK, major cities such as Tehran and Mashhad witnessed public gatherings on Monday afternoon. In Tehran's Revolution Square, participants waved Iranian flags, held up photos of Mujtaba, and chanted his name to express their loyalty. The crowds also voiced slogans opposing the United States and Israel, condemning the military actions of both countries against Iran. Earlier reports from Iranian media indicated that Mujtaba would address the Iranian public for the first time.
